The sun is shining, the nights are lighter, and I completed my first @parkrunuk in 2 years 🥳

Why am I shouting about this?

Two years ago, I was at peak fitness, until an ankle injury knocked my confidence.

I got back into exercise, but running, especially on grass, felt terrifying. The fear of it happening again kept me from even trying.

On Saturday, I decided enough was enough. Parkrun was happening, even if I had to walk it.

And I wanted to walk away so many times. I wanted to stop so many times.

But I kept going, reminding myself, that if I could just get through this first one without stopping, it would completely shift my mindset around running.

And that I did. It wasn’t the fastest, it wasn’t the easiest, but I bloody did it. 💪

Just like having your own business, doubt creeps in. There are moments you want to quit, moments you feel like you’re not making progress.

But the only way to push past fear is to show up, take action, and prove to yourself that you can do it.👊

Mindset wins every single time.
